The Elections, Survival Brain & a New Moon of Empowered Consciousness

I don’t need to tell you that the anxiety and fear surrounding the US elections is palpable. We are all feeling it bubble up and intensify. Instead, let’s chat about navigating through, rising beyond into the new earth reality and remind ourselves of the bigger ascension picture. In short, let’s elevate our consciousness into a deeper empowerment!

This is an incredible opportunity to affirm you new higher level of consciousness. To show yourself how deeply you have healed and how you have grown into a mature, independent lightworker. And it’s an opportunity to practice and hone your new empowering life skills!

Let’s remember that the US elections are only one piece of the greater collective ascension. Sure, they have a big impact on the route we take. They will influence how the collective ascension plays out - how graceful or bumpy the road we travel will be. But they will NOT change the destination.

We have already moved into the next level of consciousness. There is NO going back no matter how hard some try to return to the old paradigms. The foundations are already crumbling. That is the turbulence and chaos we see around us.

This election will simply reveal how strongly some are clinging to the old, survival-based paradigms of the alpha-pack hierarchy and the parent-child mindset. In turn, it will reveal how far we have come in building the foundations of our new reality paradigms of thriving through inclusiveness, and self-responsibility. Think of this as a check-in point to assess where the collective is in earth ascension project.

The key to success is managing your survival brain. A lot of our survival brain is the fight/flight responses, which also include fawning & freezing. It triggers reactions such a obsessive, compulsive, addictive behaviors and other survival driven habits. The immense amount of fear, anxiety and the like whipping through the collective can easily launch the survival brain into high-gear or keep it in a constant mid-state without us realizing it. When we are in survival mode, it overrides our intuition and connection to higher consciousness. This is so, it can focus on the surrounding threats (real or perceived) and have the energy to react immediately.

It is fundamental we, as consciously awake beings, keep our survival brain in ‘chill mode’ and oversee our energy fields/lives from our higher self.

Recognize what is triggering survival brain. You have been doing an enormous amount of self introspection and healing over the last few years, especially since the total solar eclipse last April. Take stock of the themes and patterns. What are your top fears? Own them so you have power over them. They may come from past lives, childhood, the womb, etc.

Then recognize how your react to those fears. Do you get angry and fight? Do you run or avoid? Do you horde and hide? Do you over control or freeze and ignore? How do the behaviors play out in our life? Now follow that pattern backwards to find the pre-trigger emotions or behaviors. What are the early warning signs?

When you sense the early warning signs, utilize basic techniques to reclaim control and reroute your energy system back to a safe higher conscious state before it goes full blown survival. Sure, breathing, visualizing, meditating and connecting with nature are all wonderful techniques. Sometimes, we need something more tactile to get the attention of the survival brain. After all it is looking for physical threats. It seeks predictability, structure, control, order and the like.

Here are a few tips to avoid triggering survival brain:

  1. STOP strolling. When you feel the urge or find yourself mindlessly scrolling on social or news media sights - STOP. This is feeding the survival brain. Our minds tell us we are ‘tuning out’ or ‘just passing the time’ but really we are scanning for threats and instant mitigation of them. Commit to consciously checking the news or social sites once or twice a day. Stay aware of world events so, you know what you are energetically feeling but don’t allow survival brain to obsess.

  2. Avoid people and situations that feed fear and negativity. You don’t need to lift up the nay-sayers. You just need to hold your own energy up. Let them have their own experiences. They are dismantling the old. You are building the new.

  3. If you are having a less than positive day, pull in your energy and allow yourself to process the emotions/thoughts that are surfacing. This will keep external (aka. other people’s) low frequencies for attaching to your emotions as they surface. Our healing and growth doesn’t stop. This is especially important for grief. We are all grieving the old ways - honor this process as the old lead us to this new way. Grief, if ignored, will hold us in the past, creating a sense of trauma/fear which triggers survival mode.

  4. Make your physical, mental and emotional health a top priority. Being worn down in any area creates vulnerabilities. Survival brain senses the vulnerabilities (as it should) and stays in a heightened state. These vulnerabilities also create an opening for external (aka. other people’s) low frequencies to attach to you.

  5. Practice a daily energy hygiene routine, just like you do physical hygiene. This include clearing, nurturing and protecting your energy field. Energy hygiene keeps your survival brain feeling safe and your vibration high. There is a simple guided energy hygiene routine (updated) in my resource center.

  6. Review you entertainment choices. Make sure you are watching, visiting and experiencing positive shows, movies, socials, events, activities at this time. Low frequency engagements can feel safe and satisfying. Due to past trauma/stress low frequencies are familiar. Actually, the situation is feeding survival mode because it knows how to operate in them. Engage with things that truly uplift your energy.

Here are a few ideas that will satisfy survival brain so you can step back into neutral tranquility:

  1. Do a puzzle. Keep a puzzle going so you can create mental order and a sense of problem solving anytime you need.

  2. Do a simple easy craft. Visit the craft store and grab a couple of easy craft kits. The kid level one are great for this. They don’t involve the stress of learning something new but still provide uplifting creativity and provide a sense of gratification in a short period.

  3. Clean out the junk draw, refrigerator or pantry. Don’t take on the whole garage. That will cause stress. Creating order from chaos is very satisfying and calming. The refrigerator and pantry have an extra calming effect for those who have fear of starvation or lack from past lives.

  4. Play a board game, crossword/word search or solitaire. They all provide a sense of accomplishment, order, control and mental focus the survival brain seeks. In paper form - not on the screen. Screens don’t have the tangible, physical aspects the survival brain craves. And screens may temp you to scroll…

  5. Of course, there are all the traditional/common self care and self nurturing activities. You know them already. Do what works for you.

  6. I have to preach…daily meditation. This builds the connection with higher self and tames the survival brain, naturally raising your consciousness and vibrational frequencies. During extra turbulent times (like US elections), it can be a challenge to settle the survival brain (quiet the mind) in order to ‘tune in’ and meditate. The new moon on Friday, Nov. 1st ushers in a wave of fresh new energies. Take time to embrace this high frequency energy and utilize it to empower your life choice and state for wellbeing. This is an opportunity to override and rise above the collective chaos of change. Allowing awakened light beings to not just survive these turbulent times but to truly thrive and celebrate the magical ascension journey from a comprehensive, higher perspective - from the new earth realty.
